The University of Bohol is actively involved with the Philippine Association of Institutions for Research, Inc. (PAIR), which has 161 active member institutions. PAIR is a scientific and professional organization of research institutions, researchers, academicians, and educators1. PAIR organizes national and international conferences, publishes academic and scientific journals, and conducts research training.

The University Research Center (URC) at the University of Bohol manages multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research outputs and publications. The URC aims to integrate research into various programs and courses, contributing to policies and programs both within and outside the institution. Dr. Leah Wilfreda E. Pilongo is the Dean of Research at the University of Bohol. The University of Bohol co-hosted the International Conference on Interdisciplinary Research in Higher Education (ICIRHE 2017) in Cambodia and received the "Institutional Research Leadership Award" and "Outstanding Research Productivity Award"
